
List Building - Why You Need To Build A List
It's been said many times that the money is in the list.
That's great, right?
Now we know where the money is hiding.
Only problem is how do we get one of these so called "lists" filled
with money?
Here are a few list building
tips for you.
1) Ask for the opt-in. I'm always amazed at how so many businesses
make list building a
secondary or tertiary (3rd rate) task. Make it your primary goal. A
person generally needs to be exposed to your message 7 times before
buying. Getting them to opt-in gives you the opportunity to contact
them again and again.
2) Give away something great. The advice of giving away and "ethical
bribe" to get people to join your list isn't new. The biggest
problem is that people tend to give away CRAP as their bribe. Make
something awesome that you could actually charge money for and give
that away!
3) Go Viral. If you've used bribery to get that opt-in why not use
bribery to get even more if they'll tell their friends? That's
list building at its
finest.
